Dr. Ning Zhang leads the Computer Security and Privacy Laboratory (CSPL) at Washington University in St. Louis. He joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Washington University in Fall 2018. He was previously a principal cyber engineer/researcher and technical lead at the Cyber Security Innovations, Cyber Security and Special Missions of IIS, Raytheon from 2007 to 2018. One of the public research of Raytheon on cybersecurity was Cyber Reasoning System, which participated in the DARPA CGC final event. Ning's research focus is system security, which lies at the intersection of security, embedded system, computer architecture and software. Ning received his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2016, under the supervision of Dr. Wenjing Lou. Ning received M.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Computer Science, Economics and Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.
